Lumber by Grade

Lumber by Grade / Product - Worth

Stacked WoodProduct: Hardwood lumber from five major hardwood species - hard maple, yellow birch, soft maple, American beech, and white ash

Majority of the product will be 4/4" (1" thick) that can be used in (1) hardwood flooring; (2) high grade applications: solid shelving, speciality furniture, molding and door parts, staircase components; (3) kitchen cabinet parts; (4) novelty applications: games, paddles, wood carvings, etc. and (5) low grade applications: pallets.

Some of the higher quality logs will also produce market desired thicker stock (5/4, 6/4, 8/4, 10/4 and possibly 12/4) on an as needed basis.

Lower quality logs that have too many natural characteristics to be desirable or useable in the above categories will be produced into railroad ties or cants suitable for pallet production or to other low grade applications (garden timbers, post & beam, etc.)
